Private Lesson Terms

When you sign up for music lessons, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

Standard Lesson Schedule

Unless agreed upon otherwise, lessons are offered a recurring weekly or bi-weekly schedule at 45 minutes per session. Lessons occur on the same weekday and time, unless otherwise agreed upon by both the student and the instructor.

Billing and Cancellation

Initial payments

Lessons are paid for in advance, one session prior. For instance, if you take weekly lessons, you'll be charged within the week prior; if you take bi-weekly lessons, you'll be charged within the two weeks prior.

To get started, use the payment link here or the button above to pay for your first lesson in advance. After the first lesson, if it feels like a good fit to you, we'll enroll you in a recurring subscription. To clarify: at the moment of enrollment, you'll have made two payments (the first one for your first lesson and second one as the first of the series of recurring payments for upcoming lessons).

You can manage your billing anytime by logging into your customer portal or contacting your teacher directly.

Cancellation

If a lesson is arbitrarily canceled within 48 hours of the scheduled time, it is non-refundable. The same applies if the student is late, does not show up, or is not prepared for the lesson. Lessons are non-transferable.

You have the option to cancel your ongoing lesson schedule at any time and receive a 50% refund of your current credit unless its within 48 hours of the upcoming lesson; if you cancel within 48 hours, lessons will simply cease, and you'll receive no refund.

Sickness/health exception: in the event that you are sick or have a family emergency on the day of your lesson, send notice prior to your lesson, and you will receive a 50% credit toward the next week's lesson.

Rental Instruments

You may enroll in a musical instrument rental subject to availability for. Instruments include Bb Clarinet and Zimbabwean Soprano Marimba. You must review and agree to the Instrument Rental Policy prior to starting your rental. See the policy for current pricing.

Privacy Policy

When you sign up for private music lessons, you are agreeing to the following privacy policy.

Information Collection

During checkout, our payment processor, Stripe, will store information to help us manage your billing. This includes your name, email address, and phone number, and card information. We'll use this information to process your payments and send you receipts.

Information Sharing

We will never share your information with third parties. We will only use your information to manage your billing and communicate with you about your lessons.
